Music Production & Recording Services

The music business is notoriously complicated, hard for even those with years of experience to understand. So – to cut out all the crap, we have simplified it to the following. Your dream (and ours) is to sell your music to the world. In order to do that, you need to do two things: First, create a song; second, make it available to the world and tell them to come listen to it.

We believe that there are five basic steps to do this:

  1. Write the Song
  2. Perform the song
  3. Produce and record the song
  4. Distribute the song
  5. Market the song

If you want us to, we can provide all five of these services, taking your song from a tune you hum in your head, to a fully fledged audio production available on iTunes, Amazon, Napster etc (that’s several hundred million people by the way) and actively marketed weekly to over 600,000 music fans.

For a single track the process from writing to being for sale on iTunes can take as little as four weeks.

Creating a Song

Songwriting

If you don’t have your own songs (Great opportunity for solo performers and vocalists!)

  • If you are a performer and do not have your own material – we can write a song for you;
  • If you have the basis of a song – we can help you finish it;
  • If you would like to co-write an entirely new song – we can also do that;

If you have your own songs bring them, perform them and you get to keep the songwriting royalties. We’re cool with that.

Performing

If you are a complete group or band – fantastic, perform it all yourself and keep the performing royalties.
If you need extra instruments on your song, we can provide:

  • drums,
  • bass,
  • guitars,
  • keyboards,
  • orchestral instruments.
  • vocals

Production

We will get your song from a mere idea into a fully fledged audio production. From the beginning to the end we are there to assist you. As producers we aim to make your dream a reality and will do whatever it takes to do so. If you are new to the industry, or aren’t sure what a producer can do for you, please read our information sheet here ->

Selling a Song

Distribution

In order for someone to be able to buy your music, it needs to be available for sale, unless you ask us not to (and why would you?) we will make your song available for sale on:

  • iTunes
  • Amazon
  • Napster
  • MP3.com
  • Our own website

You don’t pay us a cent for this service – just a percentage of the money the song earns.

If you have written and performed your own material you will get between 54 and 81 cents per track sale. For a simple explanation of where the money goes – please see our money page.

Marketing

It’s no good having your song available for sale if no one comes to listen to it. To sell – you need to be heard. We will email a direct link to your song in the week of release to over 200,000 people. In weeks when you’re not releasing a song other artists will be, and we will include a link to your page.

Other Services

We can provide other services on an ‘as required basis’ for either $75 per hour, or cost plus 20% for services we find and arrange on your behalf. These include:

This was orchestrated from a piano/vocal score purchased from www.musicnotes.com (you will need Scorch Plugin to view sheet music) with reference to the Original Broadway Recording.
